32 Weeks and Counting

I am now 32 weeks pregnant, only 8 weeks left to go!

I never really saw myself as an impatient person. I know that I could be more patient at times, but I'm not one to just rush into things, I like taking my time and getting to know a situation. I like surprises and suspense (mostly). Lately though, I feel like I'm the most impatient person in the world. I want to meet my little guy and get to know him. I want to make sure that he is healthy and whole, which I know he needs to stay in order for that to happen. I want to hug him and kiss him, and hold him, hear is laugh, see his smile, and see what features he got from his handsome Daddy, and which ones he got from me. This feeling of being impatient is mixing with the feelings of wanting and needing my little guy to stay and 'bake' for 8 more weeks. I'm learning to hate waiting.

During this waiting period though I am getting stuff done. On Sunday I cleaned our spare bathroom...oops, I mean Baby S's bathroom. That's right, he gets his own bathroom. It was pretty much my bathroom as its the one with a bath tub, but I'm guessing that I won't have much time left to take actual baths once he gets here.

On Saturday I cleaned the blinds from our bedroom. It took me an HOUR!! I went through and cleaned each individual...blind...top and bottom. Then rinsed the blinds fully a few times. This wasn't an easy task. Normally I would just take and soak them in the tub, but either they are too big or our tub is too small to do this. So I had to hold the blinds up with one hand and clean and rinse with another.
Then I hurried and got dressed and ready to go out to Inver Grove Heights to meet with my sister, Carlynn, to see a movie. AVATAR was GREAT!! We saw it in 3D and I HIGHLY recommend it to others to see. My only complaint about it is that it got loud at times and I had to plug my ears and deal with Baby S complaining about the noise from the inside (by the way, knees and elbows scrapping against my belly feels like needles being dragged, not fun). After the movie Carlynn and I sat in my car and caught up since we haven't been able to see and talk to each other for a while.
After this I raced out to the Midway Menards (from Inver Grove) to have 'lunch' with Dustin. Dustin's break is only 30 minutes long. I ended up being there for about an hour and a half. I was either talking with him or else talking with other employees or stalking Linzy so I could talk to her. By the time I got home I could barely doing anything else for the rest of the night.

Dustin got most of our bedroom cleaned on Thursday. He knows that he has to be VERY complete when cleaning otherwise I'll go back and do it all again. There just weren't enough hours in the day for him to complete the whole bedroom, so now its sitting and waiting for both of us to finish it. I'm guessing maybe another 3 hours and then it will be done. Yes I said 3 hours, moving furniture and vacuuming, organizing my books and dust the book shelf, cleaning the baseboards and heating register, and going through some totes of things to either throw, keep, or donate, plus I still want to have Dustin try on all his clothes and give away the stuff that doesn't fit anymore.

On Wednesday night we were in the hospital because of contractions...which I still swear I never really felt.

Tuesday I stayed home from work because of a tummy flu...or something of that nature. I can defiantly with all confidence say that it wasn't the HG, this was different, I could tell that I was sick. By about 2:30ish pm I was feeling better, but still very tired. Though I don't like staying home sick from work and 'wasting' my FTO I felt that I needed to take care of me and baby and make sure that others at work didn't get sick.

Last Sunday, the 13th, I had me car detailed at the Downtowner in Saint Paul. You get a free car wash the within a week of your birthday and if you upgrade you get the upgrade at half price. So I went with the upgraded wash and then threw in carpet and seat washing as well. My car seriously looks like new...or so it feels to me.

Then on the 12th we had a Christmas event to go to with family on my side. It was great seeing and catching up with people.

Today I had my 34 week midwife appointment. He is in the head down position, I think he's been getting into that position since Wednesday with all of the movement he's been doing lately, and I thought that was the case too, even before she told me. He feels like he's about 3 1/2lbs, so right on time for him and my uterus is measuring right on time for his due date as well. The only bad thing I have to report is that, as a routine test when a women goes in with contractions, they test for Group B strep. Well, mine came back positive, I just found out today. The Midwife was going to put me on Antibiotics but then decided not to because I'm right at the cut off for treating and not treating. So I'm just going to be getting IV antibiotics during labor a few times. I also have to make sure that I get into the hospital right away, even more so now, when my water breaks. Other then that all went well.

Here's the stats from the appointment:
Weight gain since last appointment: less then a pound, it was .4 of a pound (I should be gaining about a pound a week now though)
Weight gain since beginning of pregnancy: -11lbs, yes that's a negative, meaning so far I'm 11lbs BELOW pre-pregnancy weight.
Baby S's Heart Beat: 142 beats/minute
